Hairlust wanted to give both candidates and clients a more genuine picture of the people behind the logo. Therefore, our primary focus was to:

  1. Find out employee perception of Hairlust as a workplace
  2. Understand what motivates them - both on and off the job
  3. Show it to the world in a creative and eye-catching way

Our approach

Cultural analysis of the company

STEP 1

Who can best explain what it's really like to work in a company? It's the employees, of course. That's why we conducted internal group interviews with just over 50% of the amazing people who work at Hairlust. The goal was to gain a deep understanding of employee perspectives on Hairlust as a workplace. This ensured that we could give candidates an authentic and relatable picture of Hairlust.

By combining Hairlust's goals for the project with our insight into their strengths as an employer, we were able to develop a creative concept. Together with our creative partner, AGENCY6, we ensured that the communication strategy reinforced Hairlust's employer brand story while aligning the visual direction with their overall brand.

We had a party with the three talents from Hairlust - half a day per person. After everything was filmed, we started editing so that Hairlust could get the finished product delivered before they left for a well-deserved summer vacation.

GROWING TOGETHER

The purpose of the films was to add a personal dimension to the Hairlust brand to create a more genuine connection with both candidates and customers. Due to Hairlust's clear and strong brand positioning, the creative direction needed to reflect and support the overall brand.

In our culture analysis, we discovered Hairlust's real strengths as a workplace: the close relationships between employees and the opportunities to grow both individually and as a community. Together with our creative partner, AGENCY6, we developed the creative concept GROWING TOGETHER, which represents the strong culture and employees' love for Hairlust products.

Hairlust employees come from a wide variety of backgrounds, so we wanted to create mini-portraits of three personalities that could relate to different types of candidates and customers. We did this to show how Hairlust is shaped by diverse individuals who share the same passion for the culture and overall vision of the company.
