Employer brand analysis, strategy & implementation

Case studies

The e-net needs top talent and knows how difficult it is to attract and retain them. They wanted to strengthen their market position and needed someone to develop an actionable strategy to put their brand on the map.

"We needed someone to help us set a direction, formulate a strategy and translate it into concrete actions."

What did the e-network get out of the collaboration?

  1. An in-depth understanding of the culture's strengths and development areas
  2. An actionable Employer Brand Book (Strategy)
  3. A new career site
  4. Tools, frameworks and guidance for a successful implementation

"We were attracted to the idea of working with a smaller agency that specializes in employer branding - rather than a large communications agency, where a company the size of the e-net quickly becomes a small client that drowns in the crowd."

Our approach

Employer brand analysis

STEP 1

"There were several 'aha' moments during our collaboration with Hume - for example, we discovered strengths of the e-network as a workplace that we hadn't even thought to communicate."

To create the foundation for e-web's new employer branding strategy, we analyzed three key areas:

  1. The culture of the e-web
  2. e-web candidate audiences
  3. The e-web's biggest competitors

The deliverables

Internal culture analysis

Provided data-driven insights into areas for improvement in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate Profile analysis

An in-depth presentation of the target audience's preferences, digital behavior and candidate journey.

Competitor analysis

Created the foundation for the strategic direction and positioning of the e-network in the market.

Strategies need to be concrete, actionable and made to work in the real world.

That's why we used the insights and data we gathered in Step 1 to develop a strong strategy that the e-Net could activate immediately.

We brought everything together in an Employer Brand Book that combined data, strategic choices, creative concept, concrete content ideas, formats, frameworks and much more.

Employer branding strategy

STEP 2

Deliveries

Employer Brand Book with i.a:

  • Audience insights & culture strengths
  • Positioning & visual identity
  • People Promise
  • LinkedIn strategy
  • New career page
  • Action Points

Implementation

STEP 3

Strategies that end up on a shelf make no difference in the real world. That's why we wanted to be close to the e-net during the delivery phase. That way we ensured a smooth implementation of the new concept, the career site and the daily efforts on LinkedIn.

The delivery

  • We developed an easy-to-use content calendar to organize weekly LinkedIn posts
  • We sparred with the technical team on the implementation of our UX/UI & design for the new careers site
  • We provided materials that covered the activation of the new creative concept

"First and foremost, Hume's work set the direction and was very action-oriented. We also learned a lot about our own organization and culture - and we've gained a lot to work with."

What else does the e-network say?

Why work with Hume?

"Because you get really competent help from two razor-sharp guys who are also extremely pleasant to be around. An easy and uncomplicated collaboration based on where the company is. Good project management and follow-up. Great value for money."
