Building a pipeline of candidates by giving

Telenor wanted to discover the talent pool of tech & IT students in their own backyard. They wanted to provide value and have real conversations with their target group without selling themselves as an employer. The main objective was to establish an event that was engaging, fun and full of learning.

The case was very interesting. It provided us with hands on experience on how we could use our skills from our courses on a real world problem. Moreover, the conversations we had with Sylvester, Paludan and the other employees during the day, gave us a huge insight on how it is to work at Telenor.

We created an event that provided value for the students and awareness for Telenor

In today’s candidate market it’s essential to provide value without “selling” yourself as an employer. Therefore, we facilitated a case competition where students didn’t feel any pressure. They just worked with the things they loved with tips, tricks and insights from Telenor’s tech experts. 

Telenor’s output:

  • Increase of awareness
  • Seen as experts in the field
  • Building a pipeline of future hires
  • Better understanding of the candidate market
  • Meaningful interactions with the target group

What did Telenor have to say about the event
